PERFECT WORLD

In one of Anthony de Mello's books.. He quoted

"If you want a perfect world, get rid of the people."

It brought laughter in me but ouch! it caught me.. it caught me deep. it made me reflect on the things that i / we are doing. there is so much meaning on this simple statement that allowed me to ponder on the ways of this world. we wanted a perfect world. we wanted each and everyone to live simple lives, equal opportunities, everybody understanding each other, guiding each other... simply helping each other...

but that doesnt happen now. everybody wants a perfect world but nobody is working to have a perfect world. everybody has his own wants. everybody has his own motives. everybody has his "own" description of what a perfect world is. even myself has my own definition of a perfect world.. which i don't think coincides with what you want... and maybe that quote brought a lot of meaning to me since people are the ones who caused this "perfect world" that God has given to be "un-perfect"

i'm writing this because it somehow brings pain in me. we all wanted to attain a perfect world where no one can hurt each other.. in a bigger picture i believe God feels this pain. This earth has been deeply captured by the evil one. As you look around us, the once-paradise now becomes a circus. i have been a part of this circus. we all are part of this. we are part of the blame.

I believe this is not the end of things.. God has shown His great love. He still loves us. We could not attain the perfect world that we wanted but we could have the "perfect world" that God sees. The world that God wanted us to live. We can get rid of people, we can get rid of ourselves but we can strive to work together as one and just LOVE.

Perfect World is Perfect Love.

The way God loves us. The way He sees us. The way He accepts us. The way He wanted us. The way He forgives, corrects, and desires us. God has been moving all of us to love. Love our brothers and sisters.. Love our family.. and even love our enemies. Yes we all have heard this before.. to love.. but i just want to once again say it.. say it out loud... TO LOVE... it's not that easy but we should try and do it. even if it brings tears and hurts.. but we should. it's difficult for me... but i'll try AND DO IT. erase all pain and just continue giving myself.

To attain a perfect world... is to love the world just like God does.

ONE AFRICA

There is so much that had happened for the last few days. God is making mission better and better... Everyday is just an amazing affirmation of His love and His majesty. His greatness and His power. And of course, His love!

The APC is over but this is another start of the great work He has all prepared for us here in Africa. I was just amazed on how He has gathered His workers during the event. I'm overjoyed and inspired as I saw people worshiped, planned, glorified, and raise their eyes and their hands to our Almighty. What a sight! I'm very speechless. Until now I could not help but shed tears of joy of what happened during that weekend. It was truly a blessing and a gift of God to me.. personally. I thank you, Lord Jesus! You are one true and wondrous God.

Now. The work continues... Loving continues... Worship continues... and His abounding Grace continues.. I honor everyone who has given their all. I honor everyone who continues to love. I honor everyone who served God without complaint. God sees your heart. God sees your soul... God sees everything.

We are one! ONE AFRICA.. ONE HEART.. ONE MISSION.. ONE GOD!!!

One Thing

One thing I know. This mission is not about me. It's not about us. It's not about who we are or what we are. It's about the God we serve. It's about the God whom we have surrendered our very lives to. It's about the beauty that He has shown to us.

I have learned that. Here in Africa. Being here for almost two years brought me into a sudden realization that I'm not here because of me or because of what I can do. But I am here to give. I am here to love. and most of all, I am here to receive the blessings that He has planned to give and bestow on me. Somehow I could not understand the feelings of others. With all that is happening around me. All I could do is pray and be silent and come back to the very first day I fell in love with God.

One thing leads to another. A thing that I could just kneel down and thank God. He gave me a life that is way beyond what I have imagined. I have found friends that I consider my family. True and real friends. True and real family that could tell and correct me in whatever situations and circumstances I am in. God is truly making each of my day a humbling experience. Showing me insights that I could not fathom. Showing me miracles that I could always remember and cherish. True and real miracles. I could not stop talking about Africa because this continent made me risk everything. I could not complain, I could not doubt but just believe in the power of His grace.

Each person who is sent to Africa for mission is with a specific purpose. To change and make a difference in this continent and introduce God.. but more than that, to receive the faith. Realizing that giving yourself, you could receive more. And it did change you... Your whole persona. Just these past few days we have the Middle East SFCs who came here for a one week Mission Exchange. I was excited and felt blessed to have co-brothers in mission to experience the work given to us here in Kenya. They thrived and embraced the work. They absolutely experienced the greatest adventure of their lives.

As we were gathering to share their moments with the Lord here in Africa. All I could hear is the cry in their hearts that they wanted to come back here. longer. Their heart beats for Africa as well.

and i'm glad.

Thank You, Lord Jesus.

Take Time.

One thing that allows me to discover how perfect God's love is to realize each and every detail of where He has brought me now. Yes, I too have my own problems, concerns, hurts, pains, and situations that I could not even think how to survive on that and continue putting your hope in Him and on Him. I do not live a perfect life.

My missionary life has its ups and downs. But one good thing is that God allows me to see him. His plans again are not my plans. I long to keep that in mind. He can bring me to places I never dreamed of. He has this amazing power to turn things around me. He has this power to make me realize that all things are happening for the good. What a life! A life He has been leading me.

2 more months and i'll be going back to the Philippines. The Home for me. But isnt it amazing that God has allowed me to feel at home here in Kenya? Here in Africa? He has given me a family here. And right now, what I could just tell you is that I love Africa! This has been my home, my family and always be one my homes. My heart is beating much for Africa.

Yesterday we had our SFC Assembly and with a whooping attendance. I was surprise and amaze on the beauty of God here in kenya. And I cried the moment I saw the leaders praying over their members. I was filled with this joy that I could not explain. The hall was filled with love. It's all about love.

I'm taking time. savoring it. loving it. God has led me here. and He is the only one who knows where to bring me next. I do not have a perfect life.. But I do have a perfect God who keeps on holding me and chasing me. Molding me to face more battles, face more challenges... but more so to receive more of His love and graces.

I open my heart to you, Oh Lord.

I praise God today. September 29 has a lot of meaning into my life since this day God gave me a lot of people to share it with.

Happy Birthday.

Daber Aponte. For sharing bonds of friendship, love, joy, and even pain. Our friendship is still the same and will remain and grow as the years go by. Life in YFC and with God brought us together. I thank God for knowing you and for introducing me to you.

Leah Custodio. The missionary in her brought her to places unimaginable. God has really worked in you, girl. Your love for Him and for His people is a great manifestation of who you are now.

James Arela. Region Head for WV (2004). I thank God for allowing me to know this person. He has inspired me in serving and giving more for Jesus. Serving in Africa is in his heart and whole being.

Paul Kathambana. SFC kenya. God knows how to bring people into His flock and paul is one of them. SFC kenya won't be the same without you.

Happy Anniversary.

Tito Bert and Tita Fat Abangan. One of my parents in the Philippines. For welcoming me into your home and into your family. Your love for the youths will always be treasured in the heart of God.

Uncle Boni and Aunt Lucy Muasa. Gotten to know these guys the first day I was in Kenya. I miss them hanging out with SFCs but I'm sure God has placed you where you are now.

To all of these people.. I consider that I'm well blessed. Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary. I love you! Praise Jesus.
